German DM-6 Improved Disintegrating links

In the 1990's the German Army developed an improved 7.62x51 Disintegrating Link. This new German link, designated DM-6, was designed to resolve the problems associated with US/NATO M-13 Links. Unlike the M13 that contacts a large section of the cartridge, and has a rough edge that the casing must slide against; the improved German link has rounded stampings allowing only small, smooth portions of the cartridge to contact each link. This makes the link far more reliable while maintaining the same amount of pressure; securely holding the cartridge in place.
