MG Recoil Spring The most important, yet most ignored machine gun part is always the recoil spring. If you think about it most machine guns are simply a big spring pushing things around. Recoil springs absorb the recoil and push the bolt forward loading another cartridge. Weak recoil spring increases wear and tear of valuable machine guns and decreases reliability of feeding. Countless problematic MG's have been repaired by simply installing a new recoil spring. Countless more MG's have been damaged by not installing a new recoil spring. As pictured above we have two conditions to choose from: New MG3/42 recoil spring $11 Used MG3/42 recoil spring $6 (great for semi conversions requiring a cut down spring, finicky blank guns or dummy guns) German recoil springs will work with all German, Austrian and Yugo
MG42 type weapons as well as other MG42 type machine guns.
