Rewelded HKG3 Full Auto Bolt Carrier
When Germany demilled hundreds of thousands of G3 rifles, not all depots used the same method of demill. Some crushed the rear of the bolt carrier. Some crushed the front. Take one of each, add a saw and a welder, and you can have a correct length full auto bolt carrier.
On these bolt carriers it was the forward tip that got crushed. The damaged area was cut off, and a good tip was then welded in place, with attention paid to overall length.
This rewelded area is at the very front of the tube. It does not effect the strength of the carrier body that houses and firing pin/locking piece, those were not damaged. It does not contact the recoil spring guide ring, that stops further back in the tube.
The only sign of a reweld is seen when you look down the tube itself, if not looking for the weld, you won't see it.
They work, they are durable and strong. Great spare part or build part.
As these are German army surplus, most will be HK stamped. Some will be Rheinmetall, FMP or Kongsberg
