SIDE FOLDING ADAPTER W/ FOLDING MECH FOR M70 FIXED STOCKS, CRH CUSTOMS / CIRCLE 10 AK

New Yugo fixed to folding adapter with folding mechanism allows you to use an existing fixed Yugo pattern stock and convert it to folding for use in a rifle only.  Fits Yugo pattern stocks such as M70, M72, OPAP, NPAP and ZPAP.  Will not work with any AK unless it has an existing Yugo style stock trunnion.  Consists of the patent pending adapter, our Galil style spring hinge and an existing Yugo stock trunnion adapter.

Instructions for Serbian/Yugo Fixed to Folding Stock Hinge and Adapters  (For existing customer owned Fixed Serbian/Yugo Stocks)

This adapter must be mounted to both an existing rifle and existing fixed stock to open and close.  It is very difficult to function as you received it.

To install:

Using the longer screw thread it through your existing stock into the female adapter that looks like a Yugo trunnion.  This hardware is 5/16-24x2 Socket Head Cap Screw.  If the hardware is too short or too long we recommend sourcing the correct size as long as the threading is the same.  Then thread the shorter screw from the inside your rifle into the male stock adapter.  This hardware is 1/4-28x7/8 Socket Head Cap Screw.

The spring is super stiff for a reason.  The stiffer the spring the less play you will get but it is not easy to open and close.  We recommend putting one drop of oil on the spring and working the action several times.  The more use, the easier it will get.  Please note that with this hinge you must push/pull to both fold the stock and unfold the stock. This is mandatory for proper function of the hinge.  Please do not force the stock and hinge to close into the fixed position.  Doing so will void the warranty.  If you close the stock without doing the push/pull. You will stress the wings on the hinge to eventually chip or even break.  Unfortunately, this is common with the Galil style hinges.

The factory hardware was assembled without a threadlocker.  Eventually the vibration will cause the hardware to loosen.  We recommend starting with a blue threadlocker first and if that doesn't hold go with a red permanent threadlocker.
