This is the latest all steel version of the No-Mod Master Mount for AK. For reference we show images of earlier versions installed on weapons, however this listing is for the current production, 3rd Gen version as shown in the first picture. Master Mount is not content to sit still and they constantly look for ways to improve their product. This new 3rd Gen. mount is lighter and stronger than ever before.
We are proud to offer a No-Drill, No-Screw, No-Modification, AK side rail scope mount that was designed and is made right here in the USA. American ingenuity will make you proud and provide a rock solid scope rail with no permanent modification to your weapon.
This is a side rail that is easily retrofitted to most milled or stamped AK styled receivers without the need to drill and rivet, or utilize a gunsmith. It attaches to the existing hammer and trigger holes by using a proprietary mounting system. This is a low profile, reversible modification that allows the use of the many commercially available side rail scope mounting systems for a "standard AK" rail (NOT a SVD style mount).
The rail can be placed in minutes and can later be removed if desired as no permanent modifications are done to the receiver. The side rail is rock solid and parallel to the barrel. The bonus of this design is that the internal shepherds crook retaining wire is no longer needed to secure the hammer and trigger assemblies.
The rail and bolts have a black finish and are steel construction for the solid mounting platform that every shooter needs. These are MADE IN THE USA! It comes in a kit that includes the rail and mounting bolts, an allen wrench for the bolts, and an instruction sheet.
Designed to offer the maximum dovetail surface area available for optic mounts to clamp onto. This provides an even more "rock solid" base for the many commercially available optic mounts.
This "no-mod" side rail is the perfect accessory for AKs such as the MAC 90 and other Chinese models; Arsenal TM SA 93 and SLR 95. Also fits Century TM C39; Yugoslavian PAPs; AMD-63; Egyptian Maadi, M85, Vepr 12 and other milled and stamped AKs that utilize standard hammer and trigger axis pins.
Possible Issues:
- This installed rail may interfere with a tight Krebs Custom safety lever. Works fine with all other safeties.
