First made for the German army, these are in use by many military and law enforcement agencies. Plenty of length for any scope positioning or a red dot with separate magnifier. Q: German or GIGN version, what is the difference? The difference between GIGN and German versions is that the German version has a shorter rear right side rail. This shorter rail allows for the mount to be used on last gen. G3 rifles that have the weld on style shell deflector in place.
