With the ability to use Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), the GG&G New Product Development Team, thought one of the first additions should be an ergonomic and truly tactical.....Tactical Forend with a mating Heat Shield. This is especially important considering the overall size of the Mossberg 990 and the exposed top of the barrel. 

The New Mossberg 940 PRO Heat Shield is a full length one piece Heat Shield designed to easily mate with the GG&G Mossberg 940 PRO Tactical Forend. The Replacement Forend or Mossberg barrel does not need to be removed for the 940 PRO Heat Shield to be installed. Please Note: The Iron Sights On The Model 940 Pro SPX Will Not Be Usable When You Install The GG&G Heat Shield! The Heat Shield extends all the way back to the receiver and completely covers the top surface of the barrel. The 940 PRO Heat Shield provides significant heat dissipation created during high round count shooting. The ergonomics of the GG&G 940 PRO Heat Shield accommodates shooters that like to roll the shotgun over and reload from that position. Please note that the Mossberg Integrated Heat Shield cannot be installed without the New Mossberg 940 PRO Tactical Forend being in place.

• The 940 PRO Heat Shield is designed and manufactured to integrate at four points with the Mossberg 940 PRO Tactical Forend. Yep, it does not mount and will not function without the 940 PRO Tactical Forend.
• Easily removed without removal of the Mossberg 940 PRO Tactical Forend.
• The ventilated design offers protection from the hot barrel, especially after rapid shooting.
• Dynamic textured finger and hand grip at forward area aid in maintaining a full hand grip.
