HK21E COCKING LEVER HOUSING.
This has the cocking handle stop-abutment and double frame front sight base are welded in place. This is as far as Germany takes this part until it is welded to the shroud.
The stop abutment is the part that the cocking handle cams against. Front sight double frame is also welded in place. Blade and pin are not installed on the double frame.
The German description provided with this item is "HK21E COCKING LEVER HOUSING COMPLETE". To an American this would appear incomplete. Germans rarely finish machine parts that are to be welded. No matter how great your welding set up is there are always inconsistencies when welding. The only way to ensure perfection, or HK perfection, is to finish machine after welding is complete.
