This is the end plastic piece, or filler piece that is sandwiched between the main handguard and steel insert/bipod groove during the final molding process of G3 and HK33 wide handguards.
Obviously not something you're going to keep as a spare but if making a custom G3 or 33 style handguard, this can get you started off on the right foot.
These are from green handguard productions, can be dyed black or any other color.
