This is a vintage, unissued part in like new condition. It came still in its packaging grease, which cleaned up easily. I have seen so many pitted, rusted and eaten up SVT pistons that it was a joy to finally find a part in excellent condition. If you need to replace your SVT piston, upgrade or want a spare, this is perfect. Great price for a vintage, like new Soviet rifle piston.
