I've owned a number of various manufactured M14/M1A mags over the years and while most of them functioned, the Springfield Armory magazines ALWAYS functioned without a single burp, Fart or hiccup. The others? Meh, not so much. So when I go out to practice or do some plinking, I'll take both types: S.A. to make sure and the other guys if I want to run some failure drills. But, if God Forbid, I should somehow find myself having to fend off the Zombie Apocalypse, I'll FIRST be reaching for my Springfield Armory magazines filled with quality ammo. Now I don't ever expect to realistically have a Z. A. happen but if you want to ensure your M14 or M1A is fed from the BEST magazines available, you'll want to select those from Springfield Armory. Anything else could find your brainz as part of a Zombie meal. -)

These are as good as they get. FWIW I recently purchased M14 mags marked Bula and Checkmate and the Springfields are exactly the same, leading ne to believe that Checkmate makes these and the Bulas.
