The reason I gave this item four stars instead of five is that it is not available with the needed barrel nut. What was recommended to me is the CMMG Barrel Nut, RKM, AR15. With these two parts together it locks up solid on my 9mm AR pistol

I've used several of these handguards on 9mm builds that were equipped with Taccom 5.25 barrels. Using the recommended CMMG nut, they couldn't be mounted any more securely. I really like the fact that they don't transfer heat from the barrel when firing long strings. After using them for a good while, they stay tight and are plenty strong. Try one.
