Great quality product - arrived today for a PTR 91 GI. Construction is solid, excellent quality materials. No issues installing onto the rifle. I paired it with a HK bipod from here and which was a little finnicky to install at first. Got it on after a few tries and once installed, no issues - functions well. With wide handguards for the G3 platform so scarce, this is a great cost-effective option for that classic look with excellent build quality.

AC Unity is absolutely killin it by listening to the market and what people want. Its been quite a while since wide G3 forearms have been available. Now, thanks to AC unity they are back. The bipod cuts in the forearm are deeper so the bipod legs hug tight to the forearm. The locking tab and QD cups seem to be made of steel. The front bipod housing seems to be made of AC unity’s special metal they use in their mags, or its aluminum. Its a low impact part, so it truly does not matter. Bipod fit my PTRGIR101 rifle perfectly, zero mods needed to mount. If you’re like me and have been checking RTG religiously for wide forearms.. go ahead and get this, you will not be disappointed. And get the bipod here at RTG as well, while they last!

Although the contour does look a little funny, it is very ergonomical and does provide a superior grip to the standard slimline handguard. I am definitely pleased that these are being manufactured, as wide handguards are getting ever harder and more expensive to obtain otherwise.

I bought this handguard with an H&K bipod and they both fit perfectly to my PTR91. I've been waiting forever for a wide handguard to be on the market that didn't cost as much as my rifle and this one was the ticket.

I recently got one of these for a PTR-109 (H&K G3A3 clone with narrow hand guards), and it looks and fits great! The wider handguard is easier to hold than the narrow stock handguard, and fits very tightly on the rifle. If you're looking to put a surplus bipod on your H&K clone, this is a great way to go.

Fits well on a PTR91 and seems like it's made out of HQ material. Havn't tried a bipod yet but I will update on the fitment when I find one of the cheap ProMag ones. Discount G3 is coming along....

Fit and finish are excellent. Installs on rifle tightly with no issues. Compared with German hand guard, weight is comparable. Heat shield is anchored by three rivets not two like German wide hand guard. Bi-pod also fits well with no issues. If you've noticed how scarce and EXPENSIVE the German hand guards are these days, the AC Unity product is an excellent quality choice, especially if you're not worried about a authentic H&K date code. Great price by RTG!!

Purchased this for my PTR with a heavy target barrel. I was a little worried about it fitting over the barrel but it went on with no issues. I did have to tap it in the last 1/8 th of an inch. Quality is better than the original HK wide handgaurd. Better plastic and the addition of the grooves vastly improves the grip. The addition of the quick disconnect sling swivel holes is a great plus.

My ptr 91 came with the slim version which I immediately didnt care for. Tried out the mlok rail from this site, and while i liked the fact that i could add accessories easily, gripping it felt awkward. This feels great in the hand, finally I can get a positive hold plus it looks amazing. Don't know if it was just my particular gun, but I did have to remove some material from my extended charging handle so it would lay flat after charging.

I bought this with the intent to find a surplus Bipod. Well, that might be a while and I'm rather impatient. It's certainly stout enough to support a sling mount I use for a bipod.

I love the look and feel of the handguard. The only problem I had was getting the set pin in and back out, and I have no idea why. For the price it's well worth the money and it fits my rifle fine, minus the pin.

Been a RTG customer for many years and always get first rate service. The HK HG fit my PTR91 perfectly. QD points on both sides.

Works very well on my PTR32 (HK-91 pattern). Very tight fit and higher quality materials/better ergos than the stock slimline handguard. Handguard pin not included if that's a concern.

Great fit and finish. Texture alows for a more positive grip and control.

as if you couldn’t make the G3 wide hand guard any cooler! if you’re looking for a wide hand guard and don’t want to pay the outrageous prices anymore one up and get one of these way nicer than the original you will love it I promise. It fits ultra tight, so be patient. That’s a good thing.

I've had this handguard for over a year, holds up great, I'd recommend for that Heat look for not an insane price.

Ordered an ACU-49 handguard for my PTR32 in 7.62x39. It fit like a glove. No modification, it snapped right on and the pin hole lined right up! I like it a lot better that the stock skinny PTR handguard. It covers more of the gun too. Thanks RTG & AC Unity!

Thing is rock solid. Used an M1A bipod with it connecting with a modified versa-pod attachment. Love it. So glad i didnt waste the money on an oroginal.
