We have a limited number of Yugo M53/MG42 ground tripods that will require some TLC to work their best. Each of these pods needs something fixed or cleaned up. These issues range from stuck leg(s), stuck lever, broken lever, broken small part, bent leg, rust, frozen controls, torn pads, or a mix of those issues. There are none that are not salvagable with some TLC and elbow grease, but none will be perfect out of the box. The last two images show the range of cosmetic conditions you can expect to receive. We tried to pick bad examples for these images, but assume the worst. Like with most surplus, it's the luck of the draw. The first image is only for referece and shows a nicer pod from a previous listing. Use the last two images to judge condition.
The Yugoslavian M53 tripod is a great shooting platform for your M53, MG42, MG1 or MG3. These tripods can also be adapted for use on other weapons as well.
