HK production stock insert, holder for buffer housing new. This is the floating piece that attaches to the rear of the buffer via the large buffer screw; this part is free moving so you can use a standard length or longer length buffer.
Though most HK A2 stocks look the same on the outside, there are no less than twelve generations of A2 stock and all have slightly different internal configurations.
For someone making a U.S. made stock, this can be a helpful piece to provide proper flexibility and strength to your product.
